These pieces were made during my residency this summer (2017) at the Woman's Studio Workshop. I pulled sheets of tinted abaca paper, wrapped the damp paper over wooden forms and when they were dry, I cut out the wooden forms and glued the paper back together again so that they would be hollow, light, and ethereal. Please read this wonderful article by Kathyrn Scudier.
